Guide
Your Moving Checklist
A clear plan for moving day, whether you are staying in the Portland Metro or heading somewhere new. Work through it at your own pace and check things off as you go.
Get Organized
A calm move starts with a list
Moving is a lot of small tasks stacked together. When you can see them all in one place, the whole thing feels lighter. This checklist walks you through what to handle before you move, what to take care of during moving week, and the extra steps a long distance move adds.
You do not have to do it all at once. Tap an item to check it off, and watch your progress fill up. Every item is also listed in plain text below the tabs, so you can read the whole checklist at a glance. If you are also buying or selling, the buying process and listing process pages walk you through the transaction side of your move.

Before You Move
Handle the address, accounts and utilities ahead of time so moving week stays calm.
Moving Week
The last few days are about prep and an open first box, so you land settled instead of scrambling.
Long Distance Moves
A longer move adds a few extra steps around records, routing and your safe deposit box.
